I'm really surpised at this...I mean I would think the long-standing members of the SF community would want to offer their opinions on what a new game could be. I mean, who else but people who have grown up with the game, competed in high-level play, and has stayed with the series as they evolve would be better suited to offer advice on a new game/franchise? They need to get down to the nuts and bolts of it, screw what the cover of the game will look like -- look at combo system, look more indepth at character roster...
I dunno, sounds like this focus group was a waste of time to me...
If you ask me (and no one is, but I don't care) -- go back to ST and build off of that...I've been playing the hell out of that game right now and it's such an amazing game...
Why doesn't Capcom just go ahead with every line up? Give us a continuation of the VS series, and new Vampire Savior, a sequel to 3S, CvS3, Super Street Fighter 2 new edition or something, and throw in a sequel to Project Justice while we're at it -- that's not so hard. ;)
There were actually more than 9 people for the focus group. From what I understand, there were at least two groups that partcipated in the Capcom focus group. I was in group #2, which only had 9 people in the session (1 person couldn't make it). So that makes for a potential 19 people that partcipated in the focus group
There was some discussion with actual gameplay mechanics, but I forgot what was mentioned :P
I wished the focus group was actually conducted at Capcom HQ's though. It took place in Sunnyvale at some outside research company. Oh well.
And to get a feeling for the people that were in my group, 2 of them liked DoA (one chose DOA as his favorite fighter), another 2 picked Tekken/TTT as their favorite fighting game, I chose VF4:Evo as my favorite as mentioned in the first post, another picked Guilty Gear, Rival Schools and Soul Calibur, one said Mortal Kombat (ugh), and another chose Capcom vs SNK 2 (which I believe was John Choi...yeah he was there)
Wasn't there a screening process to be allowed in?Quote:

Thanks. Mind as well start posting here just in case Gaming-Age melts down during E3 :PQuote:

If there's an SFIV- I want hand drawn sprites or nothing.
I was actually making a joke, but thanks for the response.Quote:
