Saw the Trailer before the Punisher, looks to be really intense and gripping film, I've been hearing it's Jaws meets the Blair Witch Project, could be the sleeper film for this Summer. The Trailer was quite effective.
Warning - I haven't read the review posted on the site as I don't want anything spoiled nor do I know if it contains any spoilers. So Please read at your own risk.
this does kinda seem interesting, but the idea could work with anything.
ex: two people take a trip into outer space and are never heard from again. but there's a myth going around saying that aliens are to blame. some questions to what happened are left behind. are the alien really to blame? do they exist? what really happened to these two space travelers? watch the film and find out...
i'm still kinda interested in this though. i actually thought the first Blair Witch was decent enough, and even though i shouldn't go by the reviews, the three they had posted up at www.openwatermovie.com (it's the "official site") seem to like it (at least the blurbs make it seem like they do). i'm definitely up for a good horror/thriller flick if it's done right. and i think this one could be pretty decent.
Well, I like Jaws and I despise Blair Witch. I should check out the trailer when I get home tonight.
Blair Witch is one of the most OVERRATED horror films ever. As I said many times before, it had nothing good about it. Watching three idiots wander around the woods, swearing every other word, annoying shaky cam, and would be scary scenes, made me really wanting to fastforward through, but I held on. The only thing good about it was last couple of minutes before it all went dark.
Hope this new film is better.
Well the kicker with Open Water is that it's based on a true
story, unlike the Blair Witch.
Blair Witch would have fucking rocked if everyone had two handguns.
Definitely going to see this one at the theater.

I finally saw the trailer, and it looks interesting. I will give it a rent for sure, and will wait for your impressions here.
