Sega racing games are always about well placed turns and how hard and fun they want you to take them. Outrun 2 just adds a cross country element to it. Outrun 2 has flair and it pkays great. Anyone can make a ton of cars that feel basically the same and randomly generate courses for their games. Just because Sega doesnt abide by how other people design their racing games, it doesnt mean they are simple and boring. If you cant appreaciate on how a company that has consistantly designed the best racing games since the 80's handle their racing games, then you just shouldnt even be in this thread. Go play your ridge racer games that pretty much ignore breaking and gearing down or play your boring car collecting sims "GT" or something. Outrun 2 is al about cars that differ GREATLY from one another, traffic placement, classic racing tracks from OLD racing games that are still better than most other racing games today, and the thing Sega knows best since they have consistantly wrote the freaking book on the genre...a great application on how to use certain racing skills on fun/intelligent tracks.
