You know what I really want? Downloadable stat changes. Every year some rookie RB who's rated 78 in the game runs for 1200 yards in the NFL, but it's impossible to duplicate in the game. Whatever happened to the weelkly downloads everyone's always promising?

Hopefully they will fix the Ricky Williams problem. He was clearly the dominant back on this game. If you ran with him every play 1 out of 3 times you would break free. This was great if you used miami, but everyone who didn't master miami and played against them it made it impossible to stop.

The article says they're going to have less broken tackles this year, which should fix the Ricky thing. No more running through 3 guys with Tiki Barber...dang.

The thing that has me the most excited is that you won't be able to turn on a dime anymore. That was probably the cheesiest part of the series to me, although it's not as bad as it used to be. Having 5 times as many cinemas wil be a good thing, too - I think I saw a player turn to the camera and wave "hi mom!" at least 300 times.

The post-game player interviews sound interesting too - I'm curious to see how they pull that off.

I'm not the kind of gamer who buys a new sports game every year, so I never bothered "upgrading" to NFL 2K3. Hell, the last two football games I bought were NFL 2K2 (on the Dreamcast release day) and the N64 version of Madden 99 (waited a few months after release until it dropped to $20). Ever since Sega pulled the plug on their Gamecube sports lineup, I've been stuck wih NFL 2K2.

Anyways, this game looks like very promising and it might be enough to push me over the edge and pick up an Xbox. Well, that and Metal Slug 3, Street Fighter Collection, Guilty Gear X2 Reload, and etc.

Sega committed a cardinal sin this year by putting the biggest ass in professional sports on the cover of the game. I'll be buying Madden, because nothing with Terrell Owens on it is coming into my house.

Wow...that's some pure hate right there. :p

Having Owens on the cover is better (albeit slightly), than having Warren (over-rated, over-hyped, bastard) Sapp staring back at me.

At least Owens has the talent to back it up.
