Yup. Kerry's not much better than Bush. But that "not much" is enough to not vote for Bush for me, sadly enough.

That's what I'm thinking. I don't want Bush in office, but Kerry doesn't fully excite me even though he has my vote. I'm thinking we should vote Kerry in and then vote him out in 2008. I just don't like the idea of Republican President, Senate and Congress at a time when Democrats are being too wimpy to stand up to them.

I wish Edwards or Kucinich had made it. :(

Most of that article struck me as pure propaganda and bullshit. We might have to stick it to Iraq for the next 20 years but withdrawing now would be the stupiest fucking thing we could do, and everyone knows it (including John Kerry and the UN). Some bad shit happened in Fallujah but I suppose we're supposed to just let the town fester and kill American soldiers to tie their hands? Overall we did fuck up in Fallujah but as soon as the government (whether under Kerry or Bush) gets politics the fuck out of this war we'll make a hell of a lot more progress, think we would've learned that lesson by 1968.

The depleted uranium thing also strikes me as bullshit as depleted uranium shells are only shot out of tanks at other tanks and/or armored bunkers. Since the Iraqi's didn't have a lot of this stuff to begin with I don't imagine we used all that much SABOT shells, generally the tanks use HEAT shells. In 1991 there was problems but not from the tanks, they were from the 30MM AP shells shot out of the cannon on the A-10. They shot a hell of a lot more depleted uranium at one time and it was a different type then used by the tanks. Since then they have started using tungsten in the 30MM shells and not depleted uranium. If the DU is causing such a problem then how come CNN and the rest of the media isn't reporting on sick US soldiers? They handle it way more then the Iraqi's, don't they? They load and manafacture the shells don't they? They train with SABOT rounds year round every year in the continental United States, don't they? Would've thought that we would've realized this problem a long time ago if it was a real problem.

That's not an article, it's a propaganda editorial from a website that says "Your best source on antiwar news, viewpoints, and articles". There's a zillion articles, exactly the same as that one, polluting the internet, and nobody takes any of them seriously except the insular antiwar/LLL camp. The fact that you would call this a "great" article boggles my mind.

Hahaha, the basic point of the article is that Iraq cannot be stabilized by the US, and it was a mistake go in there like fucking cowboys, i agree, so in that respect it is a great article. Genral Odom's commentary gave the article legs IMO.

That's an amazing article. How does he have such great hindsight on that second part? The first part is wrong, BTW, and that will prove itself over time. Can you seriously look me in the face (THRU TEH INTARWEB!!@!@)and tell me it is impossible to do such a thing?
