Finally saw the video. Not proud in saying that. That was VERY disturbing. I am starting to agree with MVS. We need to bomb the crap out of the Middle East. Innocents will die thats the cost of war. To all the ... we tortured the Iraqi's soldiers in our prisons. SO, did the Iraqi's they tortured their own for years! Geneva conferance can lick my nutz! War has no rules! Thats why the bad guys almost win, they don't follow them. That's why we usually win a war, cause we don't follow rules. Remember the Revolutionary war? We beat the Brits when we started to use the Indian tactics? Guerilla War anyone? Inseatd of the 5 row 25 men lineup ... we employed the hide in trees and shrubbery.

Anyway, we need to nuke the place. I would NEVER vote for Kerry, but Bush is losing me too. Lesser of two evils ... Bush still wins.

Yes, I know the situation surrounding this and actual act in words is much, much worse. But when watching the videos side by side, the goalie made me cringe, the beheading didn't, especially the first time not knowing he lived.

Had I just said "The video wasn't as disgusting to watch as I thought it would be, but I still feel the same way regarding the terms on which it was done as the rest of you" as I meant by my words, I doubt this would even be an issue.

Heh, go read the Bible and tell me how peaceful it makes Christians look. Seriously, saying "Islam" is the same thing as saying "Christianity". One third of Muslims are Ismaili - they're harmless and generally live up to all the be-a-decent-person stuff, which is mostly why they have no home country in the Middle East anymore. Then you've got your Sunni, who are basically your Muslim Catholics, for all the good & bad that entails. The Shia are actually a pretty laid back people in general, but they've got the fire & brimstone clergy.

To be quite honest, if push came to shove I don't think things would be all that different were America occupied by Iraqis. The people doing this are the Iraqi equivalent of the Klan or lunatc fringe militias - in times of peace they're marginalized as well. Some people are just assholes. Religion simply makes an easy scapegoat.

Let's put it this way - in the last 500 years, the number of major wars launched by Christians is easily 10x those launched by Muslims. Don't look to religion for the problem.
