I eat sushi about once a month. I would eat it every day if it didn't cost so much.
Example: went out with my parents last week, and we spent almost $300 on dinner.

If it is what I'm thinking - nikuman - it's more of a Chinese food, just adopted by the Japanese and changed slightly. (Much like Japanese ramen, gyoza, etc.) Damn those things are tasty, especially with some hot mustard. I swear, Japanese convenience stores have the best food. Those, karaage, sandwiches, etc. Man, I would KILL for those 7-11 ham and cucumber or egg salad sandwiches again. *sigh*Quote:

It might not be an extremly asian cusine, but:
sauteed mushrooms own my life.
I could eat those things like cheetoe's. :)
That's the only thing on my mind, in fact.

Excuse me, while I fetch a bucket.
the only problem i have is knowing whats in the sushi in the first place. when its all veggies you can tell right away, also with the salmon or imitation crab. but when you get into the stuff with what looks like chocolate pudding, when you know it really isnt. thats when i start to stay away.
and i tried wasabi the other day. didnt seem bad at first but then that stuff just kicked my ass. great stuff. little soy/wasabi mix. good stuff.
Chinese people eat the most messed up stuff on the planet.
I've seen my girlfriend and her family eat some totally screwy food, and also some other Chinese folks chowing down on stuff that makes me choke just thinking about it. I walk through those Asian food markets and nearly blow chunks at some of the stuff you can buy. And don't even talk about seafood... ugh. The other day for breakfast my girl ate these nasty sausage things that smelled terrible, some sort of bread that's made with soy-milk and tastes like tofu, and (the worst of it all) this stuff in a glass jar floating in what looked like the fluid they use for pig's feet. The glass jar stuff, amid all the Chinese words, said, "WHEAT GLUTEN". Absolutely disgusting. And then she was burping all day.
American Chinese food = good. I'll take some kungpao chicken, or shacha.
I like Chinese and Japanese but I've mostly only had the Americanized stuff. I have however had some real Vietnamese food and a lot of it is really good.
I love Phud Thai with double beef. And peanut sauce... But there is so much more that I love to eat. Eating is my favorite thing in the world, so there are way too many dishes to list.
I don't eat that much asian food seeing as it is a lot of seafood but I do love Tempura chicken and veggies. It rocks my socks.
Best Korean food are Kalbi and Dukguk, Mandu is also very good but I think it was stolen from the Chinese. Pulgogi is okay when done right, but its one of my mother's weaker efforts. I despire Kimchee, so I'm usually relagated to eating American food when I with my Korean relatives.
I spend most of my eating money on Thai and sushi. I can never get enough. Unfortunately, for as much as I like Thai food, my body doesn't. My nose starts running fairly quick once I start eating anything with curry.
Korean food is pretty good. I had Bobimbob (sp?) twice. I ate it wrong the first time, not realizing I was supposed to mix together all the ingredients in the bowl.
