Tron 2.0 for GBA

I was just reading about this on IGN:

That alone has sold me on it. Not only Tron, but the incredibly cool Discs of Tron as well. I played the shit out of both of those games back in the day, and the thought of playing them on GBA excites me like no other.

Now if only they could have added the Krull game as well...

Hell, I'll buy it just for Discs of Tron.

Almost but I doubt the GBA can do justice to the arcade games in terms of graphics or control. Still, it is awesome news and I'm looking forward to it.

Hey! That sounds pretty damned cool. When I read the title of the thread I was all ready to come in here and trash talk, but this actually sounds pretty neat.

Gottlieb's Krull is a damn fine movie-to-game title. In the first stage it's neat how you get bonus points for "Buzzing" the boulders.

The environmental version of DoT rocked with one great surround sound system.

GBA can easily handle Tron reasonably if not perfect- use the L/R buttons for the dial and maybe have a configurable speed like that in Forgotten Worlds. Who knows how they'll pull of DoT though- in addition to the regular Tron controls, you have to lift up/push down the rotary knob.

I'm hoping Tron 2.0 Killer App for Xbox includes these games.

Did anyone pick this up? I want to know if the arcade games have decent emulation before buying it?

The reviews I've read have mentioned the arcade games in a positive light, so I can't imagine them being messed up much.

I don't know how they could properly emulate hi-res games with vertical monitor alignemnt and analog control on the GBA. They'd be better off porting them and reworking them appropriately.

Multiplayer DoT (somehow) would rock, but I still love the game.
