I don't know who PAON are but they're developing this GBA game.

Is anyone else having trouble viewing that image? I can't get it or that link to work.
i had some nintendo password thing pop up onto my screen just now.
That's what happened to me. I guess Nintendo might only want certain people to see the image. Odd.
Name: Golin
Password: Harris
Anyway, this doesn't look half bad.
DK's character design is like a mix of the old Nintendo cartoony style and the new Rare redesign of DKC. i'm liking that. even Diddy's been redrawn too. i almost didn't think it was the Rare design until i took a second glance.
sethsez: Thanks.
Looks promising. The character design alone is a big improvement on what had been done in the last few DK games.
I'm lovin' it.
I'm glad they've cleaned up Rare's DK... Rare are the suckiest bunch of sucks when it comes to character design.
i'm not feeling the screenshots really... i'm gonna have to go by pure gameplay on this one.

I just started playing this (recent CC sale purchase). Hated it at first, but now I'm kinda digging it. Very frustrating at times, but I'm a sucker for any game where you can collect shiny medals and crystal coconuts.
A sequel is coming to the DS soon, so I'm passing over it.
You're not missing much. It really isn't all that great. I'm just sadistic sometimes. It even hurts my hands 'cause of the wacky L/R Button control scheme! But still, I can't stop playing it...
Since it's just L/R, I can see issues with a DS version since the Lite's L/R buttons aren't as responsive as I'd like.
I checked the game out on emulator last year and I'm glad I did that instead of buying it. It has unique control with the L/R grabbing mentioned but it's really boring to play.
It gets more interesting as they add more elements to the levels. I keep going back and forth; now I think I really do like it, that it's not just a sadistic thing. It really feels different than any other game I've played (and I can't say that often).
Okay, done. I'm not gonna go through all the extras because this game can get insanely frustrating. The music and challenge level reminded me of the 8-bit Mega Man games (but getting gold medals in all the Time Trial levels is probably harder than anything in any Mega Man game). Overall, I liked it. Looking forward to DS version now.
