Sure. No problem. Just give a 2D game the same budget as say a Disney movie, then it will happen.Quote:

Hmm, First people bitch about Capcom not making ANY fighter anymore. Or 2D games
Now when Capcom makes one with SF and bunch other characters and IN 2D, they bitch about it.
Some people cant never be happy.
Rage Of The Dragon?!?!? Dammit Capcom!!!! ARGH!!!
lithium, why let Capcom off the hook? They are earning this thrashing. Like I wrote a couple of minutes ago, if some small ass company in South Korea can make high-res sprites, why can't a giant ass company with lots of money do this? Capcom can't go around using a Disney budget, but they don't really have to. What Cheebs wants isn't really that much to ask. If 3D can evolve like it is now, why can't 2D? Only laziness....
Capcom is actually being the smart ones here. 2D fighting fans will buy this despite their bitching about low-res sprites. Plus, this game is teh cheap to make given the reused sprites.
This is quick and easy money for Capcom. Until 2D fans stop paying for 1995 sprites, they will still be fed 1995 sprites.
An Analogy: If your dog keeps eating Kibbles and Bits, you keep feeding him K&B. However, if your dog stops eating K&B, then you might switch to Alpo or Mighty Dog. Otherwise, there is no need to switch brands.
*worst analogy ever*
Low res sprites wouldn't hurt so much if it wasn't for the high res display. Needed to say it.
They's had over ten years to update them.Quote:

Yeah. And over those ten years every single major SF franchise has had its own set of sprites. Enter the 2000s and 2D fighters hit a massive decline, there's just no incentive whatsoever to update this stuff. Capcom will sell the same number either way.Quote:
