According to EB, it's gonna be 29.99 for the ps2 version, and an xbox version come in Janurary, at 39.99?
Anyways, I'll probably throw down 30 for a home port, seems fair.
PS SNK can still blow me. There might have been a teeny, tiny chance at me getting SNK vs Capcom if it was 30, but 50? Give me a break. Capcom has outclassed you twice so far (30 for Street Fighter Anniversary, now 30 for CFJ).
Word around the street is this game is pretty good. I still hate the games that don't put ryu AND ken in.
I'd have considered SvC Chaos it if it were $30-40. Right now, I'll give it a big skip until the price drops (or until Target surprises us with some sweet deal on it).Quote:

Midnight Bliss! I like Urien's the most, but they are all kickass. Notice who Ryu turns into....the little girl he gave the money to for milk in Street Fighter II the Movie.

As much as I like Ken (he's my favorite Capcom character) they don't have to be in EVERY game together.Quote:

I like Sakura and even I agree with this. Overall I'm hearing that the game plays well, but looks like ass. At least the endings look cool. Sounds like it would be worth getting for $30.Quote:

Sakura is different enough to warrant being there. Hell, Ken and Ryu, and Akuma are pretty damn different imo... if anything leave out Akuma or Ryu.Quote:

I'm sure it plays well, it was made by competent fighting game designers.
I'm sure it looks like ass, but at least it looks like ass from 2001 instead of ass from 1996.
And $30 sounds pretty good to me.
People would fucking riot.Quote:

I think it was Gamefan where right after SFIII came out people wrote in and bitched about how Ryu and Ken were in there, so other players could just walk up and use them to trash others who hadn't learned the new characters yet. People will complain either way.Quote:

Ken is oft extremely different in playstyle from ryu, esp if you threw in say, 3s ken as opposed to ST ryu. 3s chars, throwing fireballs are worthless, where fireballs ARE ST. So bam, you can two completely different chars (Seriously, thier playstyle would be so dramatically different...). I think I enjoy the ryu ken matchup more than any other matchup in any other game, sorta gives me a nostalgia vibe.
The latest issue of EGM has Fighting Jam listed in their roundup of online games. And yes, it will be Xbox Live compatible.Quote:

IGN hands-on: http://ps2.ign.com/articles/558/558198p1.html
1UP.com hands-on: http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3135730&did=1
1UP talks more about the background of the game, and even says PYRON IS UNLOCKABLE! they both say the same thing too... the roster should've included more characters per team, but at the same time, what you get is still pretty good.
Man, that's fucking awesome.Quote:

There are only two hidden characters, Pyron and Akuma.
It's still a pretty diverse roster, tho, so I'm not complaining. I can't wait to start beating people up with a Guile + Urien team. :D
Shin-Akuma, to be precise. Haven't seen the regular guy.
"The arcades are practically non-existent in America so it would be good to see this gold mine of history be collected in more compilations. Still, if there's one place to see varying styles of play in one place, then you can't do much worse than Capcom Fighting Evolution to see just how the genre has grown."
IGN really needs an editor. :wtf:
 I can just see him getting all shifty-eyed as he said that. "We want to change the graphics! It's the players that are holding us back...yes...heh..."Quote:

They'd of course have to change a lot about each character for game balancing. There's zero credibility to that excuse.
Sorry, but
If it's so simple then fucking shut up and do it.Quote:
'Oh, you're just throwing in five old games and you're off.' It's really nothing simple at all. As a matter of fact, it's probably more complicated to do this than to create a game from scratch."
Its not the balancing of the character they are refering to, it is how smooth the animation is creating a feel of the fighting games of the time period it is supposed to represent. Seriously, ST ryu would not feel the same if his sweep didn't look stupid as shit, his crouching forward didn't magically appear on the screen longer than his whole body.
Nightstalker? Retards.Quote:

I love the color fading effect in it, nice. Thanks for posting it. $40 seems like a fair price for another good XbL fighter.
Wait, why did they try so hard on the cover art but not the in-game artwork used in menu screens?
Wow, I need to buy a Xbox. This and Outrun 2.
Because that would require some real effort.Quote:

Zangief + Hawaiian Shirt = teh gay
More official confirmation from Capcom :D
HAW HAW, and he goes shopping!
Man, Zangief is so cool.
Who is that shopping with him? Mika?
Is that Ryu vs Talbain in # 11?! Interesting match up.
Talbain got pissed when Ryu said his human form looked like Yu-Gi-Oh. Awooooooo!
Every thread should have some sort of post on the first page or something that tells the currently scheduled release date so I don't have to say:
"What's the release date for the Xbox version?"
2005.Quote:

Don't tell me this is an arcade game.
I hope so, my friend should soon have the JPN SF AE for live play here in the U.S. My only detterent in price of importing.

Because they have to justify the official merchandise they're selling of her somehow.Quote:

The new OPM has a pretty sharp looking ad for this game on the back cover.
I hear this game leaks monday, or something along those lines. Am trying to get a copy sent my way.
Me too. But, that kind of behaviour is not permitted here.
