Jeez...now I'm nervous that I got it wrong -- everything become a blur after a few hours of E3 overload.Quote:

I'll say it again: Fuck MechAssault.
No way. Not even with a bag over it's head.Quote:

MechAssault is the worst Xbox game I've played. The gameplay is terrible, lacks any sort of strategy, and is almost on par with X-Men for the NES. I fucking despise that game.Quote:

Heh, I feel the same way. The original Mechwarrior was 10x the game MechAssault was and it had EGA graphics. At least it let me select the loadout of my mechs and didn't control like a camera tripod on a greased floor.
Yet it sold well and Phantom Crash sold like ass. There's no accounting for taste.
Phantom Crash sold like ass because it didnt have online support and "only" had 3 areas (though I felt those three were fine).
Mech Assault sold well because it was a premier Live title and had "more areas".
Genki could have taken over the Live mech action with Phantom Crash had their stupid asses just gave it Live... hell, the Phantom Crash sequel would have rocked online... but no... they're stupid asses and don't realize how to pick between which console has good online support and which doesn't. :curse:
Actually, I read in an interview that Genki wanted it to be on xbox live (the PC version had online play) but couldn't for some reason. It might have been that they programmed it before live had a real dev kit, since it came out much earlier in Japan.Quote:
