EB Games has seen fit to disregard the street date for the dvd and is currently selling it. They only carry the widescreen version, and got a very limited batch of them, act fast so you too can beat the system and own the dvd two weeks early.

Well, Why would you need anything bu widescreen version anyway?
I still think its just best to wait for Extended edition to come out.
I believe EB can get in big crap for that if either head office or the publishing company of the dvd found out.
Seriously, if you're buying anything other than Widescreen on PURPOSE (maybe you don't know) then you're an idiot.
I know to buy widescreen, I was just pointing it out to let everyone know it was worthwhile. And the go ahead to sell the dvd came in the daily EB newsletter ( I work there for reference). Yeah, I know it's better to wait, but I was a sucker who bought both versions of Fellowship and Two Towers so I figured I would keep the traditon going :)

They're getting out of the selling-new-DVDs game, so I doubt they care about possible repercussions.
$24.99 at EB. How much is it going to be at Best Buy? $19.99? Might as well pay the extra 5 bucks and get it 10 days early, if you ask me.
