Remember that CD+G thing that came with the Model 1 Sega CD, with the Jimi Hendrix stuff? I wanted to take a look at it again but all I can find in my closet is the regular music CD. I thought that CD+G stuff was on the same disc as those tracks but it seems like it isn't. Was it on that disc or a separate CD? I can't remember.
cd +g is on the same disk, but i don't think it's supported much anymore (or ever was). My friend got a Sega CD for Christmas one year and i remember trying it out with his mom's earth wind and fire CD, because that was the only one we could find that had it.
Hmm, I wonder why I can't find it on the disc then. Maybe it's because I'm trying it through the Gens emulator. I didn't feel like unpacking my Sega CD.
I think it's separate discs. I can check when I get home.
I just found the answer. There are two CDs. I think I lost the CD+G one.

CD-G is still used a lot these days for Karaoke machines.

I bought the full CD+G Hendrix CD when I first got my Sega CD. It's pretty cool.
Saturn supports CD+G, too. It's a pointless, silly format. The color pallate for the format is ridiculously low, though I did find a Windows program years ago that let me make CD+Gs, and I did so to amuse myself for an afternoon, then never bothered to think about it ever again until now. It was cool for killing some time, though, heh.
I did the same but when I got my TurboGrafx CD player. I wish I still had the CD+G demo that came packed in with that.Quote:
