Official: Battlefield 2

Well, i got some play time in tonight. It seems like they took Desert Combat and suped it up something fierce. Always hated the fact that missiles were dumb fired in DC, and now they are seekers. As well, Desert is much better suited to this game play than Jungle, so I'm thinking this is probably going to be a vast improvement on Vietnam.

I wish I could play the demo map single player and still get access to the planes and helos. I don't like having to fight for planes when i'm learning, since I'm probably just going to crash in a few seconds anyway. I did manage to get most of the flight controls the way i want them, but helos are another matter.

trying to command a squad on the pubs is a nightmare.. even friends of mine were off on their own missions some of the time..

spawn camping is annoying.. but it happens all the time.. and this game actually really makes you do it. luckily you can spawn at the squad leader.. unlucky, since i usually am the squad leader.

i never play medic.. but medic in this game is really cool. revive is quick, auto heal in vehicles, and heals team mates close by when you have the medic box in your hands. also has decent fire power.

Spawn camping is only frown upon when it cones to bases, but this game makes it necessary to do so in order to take out artillery. But this game makes it more fair because it gives you more tools to defend and also is easier to defend. They've gotten rid of most of the complaints of the Battlefield series. They have balanced this game and made it alot more fun.
I am hooked on this game. I really am. I will put hundreds of hours on this game easily. I had some good games with Destro 777 yesterday and today and I hope to see more of you out there.

We're running the exact same computer apparently.

After playing for a couple of hours with some Counter-Strike compadres last night, I've concluded that BF2 is definitely the type of multiplayer game that's not nearly as much fun when you're not playing with some buddies.

As such, I'd love to meet up with some more people tonight (last night I was playing with a squad of two other friends and a bunh of rotating pub-users). Check out the Xfire sidebar for my server info.

I'm down for some games tonight.

Hope the server screen doesn't crash like it did last night.

I finally downloaded the demo last night. Wow. What a great game. I will have to download Xfire and get aboard, so I can play with some people that actually want to use tactics. Playing on a pub with random people is a blast ... but once you link up with 2 or 3 guys that can play, the game becomes the greatest game ever.


Oh yea... boycott EA, right?

I love setting myself as a spawn point (squad leader, whatever) and getting into one of those boats that hold 5 and just driving it up the river right to the enemy's main base. Constant barage on their vehicle and plane spawn. It rules.
