Wow, are you serious? Haha.

Anyway, man, I've been playing the demo a lot yesterday and today, what a fucking great game. So much better than BFV. The modern setting is not only much better asthetically, it also inherently fixes so many of the problems I had with the game's balance and overall gameplay. It's just a blast now. That said, I hope I don't run into any problems when I get around to picking up the full version, I've been hearing a lot of bad stories.

I really wish Dice would've gone with a different publisher, though, because a lot of it seems to be stemming from EA's server bullshit and what not.

This is why I stopped being a PC gamer... publishers/developers/whoever is responsible are just too lazy to get a product ready for release, they figure they can just release a patch later... and even if it works out of the box, they still release patches that render old saves useless.... I never buy PC games new anymore, and I stopped upgrading my PC and became a console gamer. I'm building a new PC to get Doom 3 and Half Life 2, they've been out long enough, and I still will barely play games on it. They can be pissed all they want, but you can't say they didn't expect it.

To those of you suggesting that I "update my drivers," what drivers would you recommend updating? Sound (Audigy 2) and video (ATI Radeon 9800 Pro) are up-to-date.

Same here. When they fix this buggy shit i'll definitely buy it. I can play the game but every so often the game starts glitching on the graphics and forces a reboot or just crashes my machine all together.

EA's games are always released prematurely :<

Halo never had these problems.

Being a mac user (shaddap) I never had the pleasure of playing a BF game, but the deafing praise surrounding the series is too much for me to pass up. What is this BS that says the sniper squads are a little unbalanced in Battlefield 2?

Also, this is a dumb question, but I heard you can like... parachute out of planes and run attack squads in fully functional war planes. THAT sounds awesome.
