OH FUCK YES! I've been waiting for this one for sure. It pains me that I am going to be moving to my new house this weekend and won't have internet till next week. Ughh...

Once I get this though, I'll be all over it.

Interested to hear what others think. So far I think this is horrible. The map design is pretty bad, and they've really slowed down med pack recharge (I would assume the same for ammo). Also it's nowhere near optimized, and makes my system chug a bit. Guess I'll revisit in a few months and see where they're at.

GAMEPLAY TWEAKS
- Changes made to both the J10 and F35B to make them more balanced. Please note that the J10 is a superior dogfighter to the F35B and as such these two aircraft will never be equally matched.
- AA targeting tweaked to make it more effective.
- Added checks to prevent "runway grieving".
- Various changes made to prevent cheating.
- Tweaked the hit detection, hits will be more accurate to the model
- Increased the time to go prone after jumping from 0.3 seconds to 0.7 seconds
- Fixed G36E HUD during sprinting to match other weapons.


Dolphin diving fixed. Various weird exploits fixed. Widescreen support FINALLY ! It also recognizes my mouse. Also adds a new map "Operation Blue Pearl". Its is an infantry and boat heavy map. Lots of fun with a Karkand in China vibe.

You know, its been 4 years since this game was released - and after all the Call of Dutys, Halos, Socoms, TF2, Counterstrikes, DoDs, and other online FPS's released since - Battlefield 2 [PC] still kicks the shit out of all of them. And its honestly not even close. Its incredible this patch was even made. For years people have been whinning about the J-10 vs F-35 and AA. A new map is a nice addition too. Round up the crew Conrooks.

I was thinking the same thing, as far as comparing the games is concerned. I've put tons of time on COD 4&5 , TF2 , and Bad Company, but all it took was playing with a great squad for an hour to reignite the BF2 flame for me. It was insane. Everyone working as a well-oiled machine without even speaking a word. Everyone just did what they were supposed to do. No other game has that kind of dedication among its players. TF2 does at times, but not with random people.

I'm another one that thinks BF2 is amazing.. it's crazy, even with all the problems that came with it, it's by far the best game of it's type.

I'm really not looking forward to installing everything on my new computer and getting it all working again. This in conjuction with EA downloader and remembering my password sounds miserable.

Honestly, I wouldn't even worry about installing the Booster packs, since no one is really running them anymore. Shit you can find this game for 5 bucks on the net and 10 bucks at Gamestop.
