Buuuuuuuuullshit.
Some of the best players in California were upwards to 300 pounds. Granted one of my better friends Eric ended up losing like 100 pounds playing DDR, but he was the exception. You can lose weight playing DDR if you diet on the side and such, but just playing the game dosen't do anything for you. Something like jogging is still a million times better for you.
I think IGN once did an article on their editors using the "workout mode" and how much weight they lost.
That 14-year-old in the article has some nice cans. I'd like to see her when she turns 18.

There's a whole web site dedicated to fat people who got skinny playing DDR. I don't recall what the URL is, but if fatties can get skinny doing something they enjoy, more power to them. I like DDR, but I'm already fit and devastatingly attractive anyway. :D

That's just my out take on it though.
I lost about 40 lbs playing DDR. No dieting, no other exercise, nothing but DDR.
When DDR got boring, I gained it all back. Now I've kept it off essentially permanently by doing exercise that doesn't have such a low ceiling of mastery. ie, I don't get bored with what I do now...DDR's just too simple to play for very long.

Well yeah, jogging is pretty boring but I look at it like this. Back in my prime, I could do bullshit like The Road of Legend or Paranoia Bros 2 courses and barely break a sweat. At this same point in what I thought was ridiculous stamina, if I were to run a block I would be lying on the ground in cardiac arrest.Quote:
