So both Dallas and Austin have gone kaput, eh? That's not very good luck.
If this happened after DE1, I'd be sad. After the underwhelming sequel, though, I am not feeling the same way. He's a really good designer, though, so he'll be fine.
Very sad news, but he'll back. I just hope it's somewhere that he will have a good amount of creative freedom.
This doesn't make sense, wasn't the Austin ION Storm HIS company? Didn't he take charge when they broke off from Dallas? It doesn't make sense why the company would go kaput either, they havn't released any bad games, sure DX2 didn't sell great but neither did the first one.
This news greatly distresses me, Spectors division of ION Storm is one of my favourite companies in the industry :(
eidos was essentially in charge.
Damn it. This is not cool.
I wonder if he'll end up at Harvey Smith's new company.
wtf.Quote:

I'd find the PS2 only development shocking, since we are at the end of the generation for the PS2. You think they would have them as a 'next-gen only' developer.
interesting.
Weird. So Spector was in charge of the Austin branch? It's right down the street from me, saw their offices the other day. I wonder if there might be a good postmortem story there.
