Remember playing with LEGO as a youth? You can again!

Download the tools at www.ldraw.org (I suggest the full install which weighs in at around 35mb, but includes everything) and get to crackin. If you want instructions for building models, check out www.brickshelf.com - you can search by model # or browse images to find what you want. I already made a cheapo spaceship and am now going to start work on one of the big ass ships I could never afford as a youngin.

Anyway, let's see how creative the TNL people are!

I went to Toys R Us a few weeks ago with a friend and checked out the LEGO section, but I was really dissappointed that not only was the LEGO section smaller than the Mega Blocks section, but all they had left were liscensed themed stuff and soccer sets.

Yeah, the people at Lego really need to think of something new and/or innovative. I'm sick of their stupid licensed shit. It doesn't help that Lego packs are still retardedly expensive.

God damn it. I just deleted my Virtual PC drive today because I never used it. Now I need to make one again. Will this run in Win98, or will I need XP again? I too want to build the Lego kits I couldn't get as a kid, namely the space stuff and the pirates. You know, back when Lego had awesome properties without having to resort to licensed crap. I can't tell if I'm just glorifying my own childhood memories or not, but I remember some of the Lego stuff being far cooler than any of the stuff available today.

Though, I admit, that Lego soccer stuff looked pretty cool.

No it's not your imagination, the sets of yesteryear were way better than the ones around today. There still is some cool Lego stuff like the soccer and the train related stuff, but the majority of the newer stuff is not as cool or as versatile. Thank goodness you can just buy pieces and build your own crazy ass shit.
