yeah this was awesome. I remember seeing footage of a stolen tank which rampaged through a suburb and went on the highway. The tank crossed the divider and got stuck, The police opened the tank from above and shot the guy inside. Mechanicalrampages should happen more frequently and last longer...

You know how idiotic that statement is, right? It's not like this is an a) smash buildings or b) go into McDonald's shooting situation. There is a choice "c" here, which is deal with it like a normal person and accept that sometimes life sucks. During that battering, Trainor spotted "a soft landing" and jumped off the vehicle.

Along with other officers, he then followed the bulldozer as it moved back down toward Agate Avenue, the town's main street, crashing into the 5- month-old Liberty Savings Bank and the Sky-Hi News before reaching the east end of town. Along the way, officers stuffed "flash-bangs" into the exhaust pipes and continued trying to disable the machine with their weapons.

Heemeyer, who had not been firing a huge military anti- personnel gun mounted on the bulldozer during the pursuit, started shooting when he spotted the giant tanks of Independent Gas, but was unable to get them to explode.

One local offered authorities his own .50-caliber bolt-action rifle, but six rounds failed to adequately penetrate the armor, which Trainor described as being at least a half-inch thick. SWAT team members attempted to use a town plow as a barrier in another unsuccessful attempt to stop the vehicle.

Finally, the bulldozer rolled back west and plowed into Gambles hardware store, where it crashed partially through to the basement and was trapped by a county road grader.

Trainor heard a single shot from inside, but tactical officers were unable to open the cab even after blasting it with several rounds of explosives just before midnight.
