My point was that the glorious days that Kinopio speaks so highly of didnt exist - they were simply masked. That mask was taken off on September 11th.

It appeared as if you were saying things had improved.

Lets take a brief look at Reagan's legacy.

- Lauded and subsidized the contra guerrillas as well as Angola's Unita geurillas, both of which terrorized their countries, killing thousands of civilians.

- Funneled large-scale monetary support to governments aligned with death squads in Guatemala and El Salvador.

- Used our tax dollars to fund the Afghani anti-Soviet groups that would eventually become Al Qaeda and the Taliban.

- Funneled money and intelligence into Iraq during the Iran-Iraq war and turned a blind eye to Saddam Hussein's many human rights abuses.

- Promoted huge tax breaks for multimillionaires and large corporations, presiding over an unprecedented transfer of wealth.

- Spoke out for labor rights in Poland while spearheading anti-union measures in the United States and avidly supporting regimes on several continents that repressed workers and oversaw systematic murders of labor activists.

I don't mourn Reagan. I mourn the middle class of this country--the good, hard-working people who bust their asses to put food on the table only to be robbed and lied to by corrupt leaders like Reagan. When they die, all they get is an obituary in the local newspaper. I kept that in mind when everyone else was focused on Reagan's funeral last Friday. They're the real heroes of America.

So, you'd rather the former Soviet Union bullying lesser European countries with thier might? If so, these so called bad tactics did'nt do anything to help those helpless countries like Croatia and others, escape the awful tyreny of the Russian government. They were once allies with Hitler's Germany, if you knew your WWII history.

What would the world be like, if we just let the USSR march thier happy asses into those oil rich countries and have thier way with most of the world's oil resources? If anything, our resources helped keep the Russian influence, from expanding into those regions.

Wait, isn't that the same Germany that was financed through a bank that was managed by Prescott Bush, which later had its assets seized under the Trading with the Enemy Act? Strange how Reagan's vice president was the son of a Nazi financier and traitor, isn't it?

What the fuck are you talking about? They had a non-aggression pact for awhile and Stalin tried to avoid conflict with Germany, but if it hadn't been for the Soviet Union you'd be heiling Hitler right now.

Only because Hitler was stupid enough to think he could attack the Soviets. The harsh Russian winter doomed his troops and cut off their supply lines. The Soviets were pretty much nuetral on it all, as far as history is concerned. Okay, calling them allies was a bit much, but did the Soviets even cry foul, when Germany took Poland?
