I was eating dinner with my folks at Smokey Bones when we saw it on the TV. Can't believe it ended like that. The bar was going nuts and then slowly fading into sounds of disappointment. Sucked.
the announcer jinxed it, he was calling Smarty Jones the first triple crown winner in years before the race was even over.
I watched this at a friends house and couldnt believe how that Birdstone horse came out of nowhere to win this thing.
I honestly thought that Rock Hard Ten was going to take it. That horse looked extremely pissed off before the race started, and was trying to kick the rider off and kick anyone that got anywhere near it.I dont watch many horse races, but Ive never seen one act like that.Assumed that it would take all of that agression and haul ass to win the race....well either that or jump into the crowd and fuck some shit up :D
