how do you play your games?(one at a time?)

I was just wondering when your playing games do u spend all your time playing only one game until you beat it then move on to the next or do you play multi games at once. I dont mean like playing street fighter and tekken in the same day because those games last forever. I mean like playing final fantasy and jet set radio and stuff in the same day.


because for me I usually play one game until I beat it b4 i play another game because even when I'm not playing it, its in my mind so whenever I go to my DC or whatever I always play the same game again.

I play whatever strikes my fancy at that moment, so I usually haven't beaten a game (unless it only takes a couple hours) without having played five others during that same time frame.

However, if an RPG is really good, I won't stop playing until I'm done (with pauses for work and sleeping). Part of that is because going back to an RPG after having been away for a while usually creates a large amount of disorientation. For instance, I've been working on my game of FF (the first one) for the last seven years (yes, the battery still works). For the last few years, it's pretty much turn it on, do some levelling up, and then leave it alone, because damned if I can remember what I was doing or where I'm supposed to go. One of these years I'll finally figure that out...

Newest game = instant playtime.

It's not like my other games are goin anywhere :D

I'm in freeter's group, for the most part. I also play some games and never finish them when I get new games. :)

Multiple games at a time, but to ensure that I beat them all I only play one RPG and a few of whatever else I got at a time. Right now I'm playing Resident Evil, Hoshigami and on the qiuck fix side it's Zero Gunner 2 and Super Monkey Ball. Oh yeah, and when I'm at the laundromat it's Castlevania: Circle of the Moon.
After I beat Hoshigami and RE, I'll play Suikoden and Demon's Crest(two games I have had for a while but haven't played). It takes great will power not to pop in these games whenever I feel like it, but at least I finish everything I play.

I am always playing a bunch of games at once....

It's funny, I hate finishing games I really enjoy. So sometimes when I start to get close to the end of a game I start playing something else instead, so I can look forward to going back to it. Of course, this could be why I have a lot of unfinished games laying around!

Like deathwishkersey said though, the exception is RPGs. I usually play them one at a time, and I try not to get too sidetracked because I don't want to get too disoriented. It's like picking a book up in the middle.

Multiple games at once. I'm always working on an rpg, so I make sure to play an action game for the times I can't stand random battles anymore. Like right now, i'm playing FF Tactics and record of Lodoss War, and One and Medieval 2 when I ust want to kill someone. Damn, you know, I'm playing alot at once.

i used to do the "bunch of games at once" thing. i did it a lot with rpgs. when i forgot, or mixed up, where to go because i couldn't keep track of the games, that's when i started to reduce my gaming to a few games at a time.

now, if i'm working on rpgs, it's one at a time. however, any other genre, i don't mind playing a lot at one time.

Multiple, but definitely one RPG or story-driven game at a time. My memory sucks ass. Right now, I'm playing Dragon Warrior VII (side-questing), Resident Evil: Code Veronica, and Radiant Silvergun.

I am mastering one game at the moment: DoDonPachi. But at
times, I become unmotivated to die to the same bullet
patterns 60 times over, so I end up playing lots of
freeware games for a long time. After I'm bored of that,
I'm refrested to play DoDonPachi to a great extent again.
I cycle between these two extreme ways of playing games.

I'll usually have two or three on the go. A story based game, like an rpg or Metal Gear or something that requires me to dim the lights and put on the 'phones, and an action based game I can play while listening to music or the radio, like a fighter, racer, shooter or a level-up fest like PSO or Lodoss War.

Defnitely a mood thing for me. It's rare that I'll play a single game constantly until I've beaten it. I like to have several options because I never know when I'll have time to play or what my mindset will be at the time.

Currently:

HSG3: to relax
VF4: when I had a bad day @ work
WSB2K2: cuz it's baseball season
Shadow Hearts: when I get a few free hours at once

Also Maximo, Frequency, GW2, Cosmic Smash, & Rez depending on my mood.

Well, I also tend to play multiple games at the same time. Its usually harder when playing 2 rpgs, and having going back from one to another and remembering, where you actually stoped :)

Right now I'm playing, RE Remake("speed run" to get secrets), Alone in the Dark: New Nightmare, Heroes of Might and Magic 4 on my PC, and Vampire Night. Also we having regular bounts with DJ at DOA3 and Bloody Roar 3.

I try not to have too many RPGs going at once, but it happens. Right now I'm in the middle of FF7, DW7, and Golden Sun.

I still spend most of my time playing shooters. Giga Wing 2 is probably the only games I've touched this past week.

I treat my collection like an arcade. When I feel like playing, I wander into the room and stare at all the titles before "plunking a few quarters" into some of them. 15 minutes of Magical Drop 3 here, 30 minutes of Strikers 1945 there. Unfortunatly, that is how I play all of my games, old, new, arcadish, story driven, or whatever. Needless to say I haven't made much progress in Resident Evil. :) But I just see them as games, not tasks to finish. I always get my enjoyment out of my titles even if it is in disjointed bursts. Every now and then a special game will come along and grab me (Skies of Arcadia, Castlevania SotN) and I will play marathon sessions untill it's over, but that is extreemly rare.

My most recent playing has been Wildguns (SNES), Rallisport, JSRF, DOA3, Metal Slug 3, Real Bout FFS, Aladin (Genny), Resident Evil (GC), Money Puzzle Exchanger, Neo Turf Masters, and Cannon Spike. I can't really say that's what I am playing now because I may go back to some of them soon or they may go back to the shelf for a week or month or so. That's just what I have played most recently. My poor Saturn would be seeing more action, but my NTSC TV has been moved out of my game room and the RGB SCART cable I bought for my Saturn turned out to be the wrong flavor (japanese).

Depends. It's rare these days to have a game hook me so that I play absolutely nothing else from beginning to end, the last games to do that were MGS2 and Shenmue II I believe. Otherwise, I tend to wander from game to game but concentrate on one or two that I really want to finish off. I'll also force myself not to play a new game at times so that I can finish what I've started. Right now I wanna take care of Dragon Warrior I on GBC before I dive fully into Advance Wars or polishing off Golden Sun.
