When I was in the AF it was the complete opposite. We got all the "there's no "I" in "team" and "no individuals" bullshit and then were reprimanded whenever we tried to help one another. Feh.Quote:

Really? I was in the Air Force too, and our flight would always help each other out. Some of the guys in our flight gave me a hand with keeping my shit uptight, locker wise, and with other dorm stuff, seeing as I was a pretty messy guy.I in turn helped them out with their running and physical aspect of the training.I'd get up in the middle of the night and have work-out sessions in the day-room with these guys to get them ready for evals, and during the morning runs, I would run with them and get them to keep a rythym in their breathing, wouldnt let them quit, etc.The only shit I would get for this was from the asshole Academy cadets - but they could suck it - I wasnt doing anything wrong - even though I wouldve caught some shit for the late night dayroom crap, but still...Quote:

Plans changed once again, definite this time, I'm leaving Sunday evening. I'm still open for peoples contact info (written addresses only, e-mail won't work).
Well, looks like the journey is cut short. I have a medical problem with migraines I didn't tell them about until I got into training. A week later I was signing discharge papers and I just got home today. I'll give more info later but it looks like I'm back, right on my 18th birthday too. I wish I was still there but I guess everything happens for a reason.
Yeah, I was gonna say, happy birthday man.
