Started playing this one a few days back. Never played a Turn Based Strategy game like this before, and I'm having a lot of problems with some things.
Case in point:
I'm America, have more Small Wonders than anyone else, piles of gold, lots of territory and friendly with everyone. Then 960 A.D hits and it all goes to shit.
England demands my territory map and some money. I tell them to go fuck themselves. They declare war. Fine, they are nowhere near me, whatever.
Over the next 3 turns:
France signs a treaty with England, Declares war on me.
Germany signs a treaty with England, Declares war on me.
Russia signs a treaty with England, Declares war on me.
Rome signs a treaty with England, Declares war on me.
Aztecs sign a treaty with England, Declares war on me.
Iriquoi signs a treaty with England, Declares war on me.
By 1600, I've got 10 dudes dug in something fierce in my capital just waiting to die.
Anyone got any tips on things to do to avoid the above or just generally suggestions to bring up the skill level?
