20 mintes into this game (Denmark - Italy) .Very good.

My prediction is fulfilling itself so far : Denmark is playing very well.

Ill hate Italy if they manage to win this game.God I hate their football...

Takumi, the term 'goal box' is not used.

Italy = boring, same goes for their league. Their style is effective but it's so tedious to watch.

We'll that was a good start for us (sweden).

I was not impressed by the Italians at all. Lackluster performance by all of them.

But tomorrow's match of Holland and Germany should be exciting. My bets on the Dutch team.

I really wish I could watch some of the games with American commentary on. They always try and sex it up a bit for the yanks!

Actually, we get BBC feeds for Euro 2004. John Motson then Halftimes with Linekar and guests (Ian Wright, Peter Schimeichel, Gordon Strachen, etc) and even when there is MLS games with American Commentary they never say any of the phrases you listed above.

The major difference is English Commentary is usually one guy commentating on the game and US Commentary is 2 guys doing 10% game commentary and 90% inane banter about jack shit.

You don't get 'Big' Ron Atkinson? Shame.... ;)
