And now it's 16 years without a cup...
Silence you, my team still has handfuls of cups. We're good for another century.
Now all Tampa Bay needs to do is win the World Series.
To all the people who think the Devil Rays will never EVER pull it off, well, the same was said about both the Buccaneers and the Lightning for years on end, and BAM, they are both winners now.
w00t. go Tampa. They should of won 2-0, though. That penalty was complete bullshit.
Oh, and this might be the last NHL game we see for quiet some time. The NHL and the Players Association arent making much progress on the new CBA.
I sure hope ESPN NHL 2k5 is released.
BTW, good hockey game tonight, even though my precious Red Wings weren't in it.
Tampa may very well become the new "Dallas" for us Philly fans. Stop knocking our teams out of the final 4, damit!
Ah....who am I kidding? Dallas will always be the only Dallas. :D

It's strange to see Lord Stanley's Cup in the middle of sandy beaches, but it's good for the game. Even better that an offensive minded team won because of people constantly whinning about the clutching, the stickwork and crap like the trap. Obviously, this proves that it is possible to win while playing a very offensive style. Wayne Gretzky might of predicted right.
"Super" Dave Andreychuk wins it all after 22 years of hard work and he did it without trying to get a free ride by going to one of them powerhouses.
Whether there is a lockout or not, the landscape of the NHL is going to be very different. The era of big spenders is over. Hopefully restructuring the CBA doesn't take long.
I'm waiting for some league retraction. There are too many teams and too small a talent pool.
That and I want another N-H-F'in-L Franchise back in Hartford, none of this minor league crap.
The 1999 Stars just got lost their spot as the worst team to win the Cup in the last 10 years. What a God awful playoff season...
I am glad that Andreychuk finally got his Cup though.
This years Flames run was one of the most entertaining ever. I was high on them all season. Kipper, Nilson, Iggy, Robyn, and the boys. They came so close but just ran out of gas. The worst part is the non-goal and the cheap shot Lombardi took in Rd 2 which knocked him out. That could have been the difference. The great great great fans of Calgary showed everyone what hockey is all about. Especially the topless ones. :p
Unlike Anaheim and Carolina, Calgary has a very bright future with all their young stars and even more on the way. They'll be back.
Congrats to the Bolts. They worked hard and in the final two games they were the better team. No-one can say they didn't earn it. Richards emerged as one of the league's new stars. Wow.
god awful? this is one of the most entertaining post seasons ive seen in a while. of course seeing the usual colorado, detroit and new jersey year after year does nothing for me.Quote:
