Anyone play this title? I used to play a bit of Soccer so I can appreciate the art of the sport, Fifa was ok, but there was one on the N64 which I cannot recall the name of but it was class.
Well I found a copy of Virtua Stiker for $5 the other day in like new shape, will try it out later this week. Graphics look good too!
Virtua Striker's abysmal. As is FIFA. But it's not as bad as VS - Sega made a few soccer games; Soccer Slam is quite good for what it is, Virtua Striker's sublimely awful, but both pale in comparison to the absolute shit of a game that is Ninety Minutes. That game's enough to put anyone off sports games, forever.
The N64 game you're remembering is probably ISS - International Superstar Soccer. Which is like a more arcadey version of the ONLY football game worth owning - Pro Evolution Soccer, more commonly known in the US and Japan as Winning Eleven.
There's really no contest past Pro Evo. It's the God of football games.

the DC wasn't very lucky with the soccer genre at all.
$5 is a good price... can't beat the $.08 I paid for my brand new copy, though.
