What do you do

For those of us who aren't in college anymore and have the life of being on the grind... what do you do?

For those in college/other schooling tell us what you wanna do.


For me, I just got out of college and am still looking for a job. I am a New Media Designer.

I got a phone call interview a couple days ago from a PC Game/Kids Game company. So hopefully they hire me. Ah well..


So what do you do.

I work for an Apple Authorized Service Provider. I'm a certified tech. That means I get to fix Macs for a living.

But I really want to be a ballerina!

well i used to be a microbiology lab assistant until they fired me 3 months ago. i clocked out my brother (wasnt even adding time to his schedule....just clocked him out) and they fired me. got a call out of the blue to do typesetting and design at a local print house and start monday. its monday thru friday 7-4pm. will probably pick up a tech bench position at the local Best Buy for extra money as well. i graduated Dec/2002 with a graphic design degree. that game company thing sounds good pixel. hope that works out for you.

I dont even know who they are. They said their name and I totally forgot what they said. :\

Oh well it's good canadian money. (Is that an oxymoron)

I'm in school right now.

When I finish I want to write professionally. Later on in my life I'd like to enter politics (somehow) in either the U.S. or Canada.

I'm a software developer for a small company that makes software for the military. We make all kinds of stuff and it's a lot like game programming (lots of 3D and animation). And since a lot of our stuff requires a security clearance, my job is not in danger of being shipped to India. Woo!

I work for a cell phone retailer..

My official title is Technical Manager.

Technical means I get stuck fixing the computers, phones, answering stupid questions, evaluate new products and such.

Manager means I have to wear a suit.

Oh, you have money up there now? I though you all just traded beaver pelts and such... :)

Right now I'm in college for communications. I hope to write for a newspaper or magazine when I get out. NY Times has a great internship program and I'm going to apply to it as soon as I can.

Right now, I'm a tutor at my college. I help those less fortunate than myself pass their remedial classes.

Great. I just got called back from this GAN company and they want me to come in for an interview on Tuesday. I'm really nervous because they said they were gonna call back in a week but it was less than 24 hours.
With design work I get nervous because I have no idea if I am qualified enough for the job. Like I know Flash and PHP but how much do they want me to know? Ya know what I mean?

Now I'm nervous. :)

I am a Statistical Analyst, and a lot of what I have been doing recently is running simulations on how much money can be saved by shipping jobs to India.
