Play Magazine

I'm sure there's something out there already on this, but the search isn't working for me. What's the scoop on Play Magazine? Comparable to DHGF?

Hi. I like the magazine. It has some nice, long write ups and has the best quality paper of any mag which leads to some very nice screen shots. :eek: Compared to DHGF, it's much more polished.i.e no spelling errors or insane layouts that are hard to read like was the norm in DHGF. :doubt: :blank: BUT, there seems to be and overall feeling of less excitement than DHGF. :\ Still I like this mag more than the others, but I still wish GF was around. :) ;)

I agree.. it has lots of modern visual style, but the writing is pretty empty.

I didn't like it at all. The layout is okay, the reviews are rather limp. They did a pretty nice writeup on the history of Megaman a few issues back, but aside from that, I didn't even bother to read their main feature (Sudeki).

I rather enjoy the mag. It's got a great visual style, and the writing is a change of pace from other gaming mags out there now.

I like the screenshots and artwork in their mags, as well as having some anime/movies/music thrown in. The writing could be a lot better, and the mag could have more personality. It's worth $1.67/issue, imo.
