Stormy I had the same glitch first time I tried that quest.
Sometimes the sniper delivers some entertainment moments with bloody mess perk. I was exploring around, came across an armory depot place with some raiders, there was one raider at top of the building had like a fat man or so on, went into sneak mode fired a shot at him from afar must have hit him the shoulders/arm, the guy just disintegrate.
Btw I was reading something about the wasteland survival guide, it seems if you have a high speech skill, you can convince Moira not to do it, you do get negative karma though and less rewards and less xp, but you do get a very nice perk. Dream Crusher perk which reduces enemies chance to critical hit you by 50%, and you get 30% discount at Moira's store and you increase her repair skills.
Yeah I had the option but I wanted to finish the quest instead.
So I've been playing through the game, drudging along and honestly wish I hadn't bought the game yet. I shoulda waited until the price dropped. I don't know what it is but the game is barely keeping my interest to the point where I may just blast through the main quest. I wasn't sure what it really was but someone made a great point about what really hurts this game:
And while the world is alright, I dunno it's not special enough that I'm really drawn to it. I'm gonna try to do most the side quests regardless but I dunno this game is just a bit disappointing. Still a good game.Quote:
The loot.
Fallout 3, huge as it is, is almost entirely swag-free. Oh, there are a few unique weapons and a handful of stat-boosting bobbleheads, but by and large when you're exploring a dungeon, it's just to find enough ammo or healing items to get you through that dungeon and into the next one. There's no real material reward built into the game. You find caps (the game's currency), but what is there to buy? More ammo, more healing items, and a few knick knacks for your house. Yawn.
It would have also helped if there was some variety to the locations, which became predictable way too fast. Except the Dunwich Building, which I thought was awesome (Lovecraft!).
Some rare monster hunts would have been great too, beyond the Behemoths. Something like FFXII's hunting club.
Once you've seen one random dungeon, you've seen them all. Not enough enemy variety either.
You could make these same complaints about the other fallouts but...there's more to do outside of dungeons.
