Yeah, Avellone has to be the greatest RPG writer to ever exist. Hard to top him if at all possible.

i think i need to finally play the other 2 fallout games sometime.

I missed Fallout the first time around. I got hold of it and tried to get into the game.

The story was interesting but the interface was, obviously, dated. I'm still wondering around alternating between getting slaughtered, getting lost, and getting frustrated at the interface and slow battles.

Morrowind is fantastic and I hope to see more good work from Bethesda. I still don't get what was so bad about the battle system; I liked it.

Even if only you ponder the URL, you will notice that this is BETHESDA SOFTWORKS' WEBSITE which might imply to you that they now are the masters of the Fallout franchise. I can think of nothing more grand.

Thier parent company ZeniMax publishes tons of crap. Not to say Bethesda is responsible for that. I only know of TES and IHRA.

According to mini review in November's Game Informer, Fallout 3 is going to use TES: Oblivion's gorgeous engine.

Apparently the humor is still there, and the story goes as this.

You've spent the first 20 years of your life living underground, and that you have to venture above ground and you wear a special pair of goggles because your eyes aren't used to the sunlight. However, once your eyes get accustomed to the light, the goggles can come off.

Also, the game will be set in a "familiar US city", and will be of "the most original and violent games ever". Also the series will feature everything out of the previous games intact, but with deeper gameplay and immersion.

The game is now in pre-production stages.

I think it'll be good. Fallout 1 and 2 are among my favorite games ever, so I don't think it'll be up to calibur with them, but good nonetheless. Definitely looking forward to it.
