I really didn't give the N64 Conker the time it deserved, but I can't wait to play this one. Everything just looks like AAA quality work.
I don't think enough people played the original Conker's Bad Fur Day so a complete remake is totally acceptible. Now, let's hope they don't get the bright idea to re-release every other game they've made in the last six years. We don't need another Sega or Nintendo and their re-releasing habbits.Quote:

I think that the general public didn't give a rats ass about the original and that it really dosen't matter if it's a remake in this case. I barely played the original and now it's so damn ugly that I wouldn't even consider giving it the time of day. So this is a good thing.Quote:

That would be true if the Stonecutters didn't dismember for the No Homers Club back in the late 90's.
This game is pretty much the reason behind me getting an Xbox and will be the main reason for me to have Live. The original Conker was an amzing game with a pretty good single player and really interesting and fun as hell multi player games. Honestly, the N64 Conker graphics don't bother me, since its for the gameplay that I like a game. Anyways, I just now saw the E3 trailer and my jaw just hit the floor. I knew the game looked really good, but I never knew how intense and different the main multiplayer was. It looks like Unreal Tournament 2004 but on crack with squirles and mech tediz. This is my most anticipated game right now, even surpasing RE4. Now I'm gonna back to watching the trailer over and over again.
The original Conker (single player) was crap. Trust me. I still remember how dissapointed I was as I made myself play through it in disbelief. Horrible camera, horrible controls, uninspired tedious objectives...the only good thing about it was the multiplayer. It was so good that it made it all worth it. That's why the remake will be worth it, but the main game was bad back in the day and it's just gonna be sad nowadays. Rare = gimp. Anyhow the graphics on the new one, they look pretty good but not great, not with that slow ass 15-20 fps action going on. Rare's 60 fps games ended when they left the GC for the XBox, at least until the next round of consoles come around. Conker doesn't look anywhere near as good as StarFox Adventures. Conker looks like they took StarFox Adventures, cut the framerate to 1/3rd, traded sharp clean textures for mush, and cut the fur count in half.
Why are you bitching about the framerate? The game still has a good 4-5 months of development time to go. A lot of games run choppy in the alpha/beta stage.
I have no clue what the hell you are talking about. You must be on crack. All the trailers I have seen of this has smoothe as a baby bottoms fps. I have not seen any sliver of slowdowm and where you got that beats me. Second, maybe you didn't like the single player, but I along with many others sure as hell did. Was the game revolutionary? Hell no, but it was still fun to play. This game looks like it is going to be amazing. The Live stuff looks badass, the single player is great since it is the first game with a ton better graphics. The only thing that would dissapoint me is if they didn't include the original multiplayer games as well, but even then, the revamped multiplayer would make up for it all.Quote:
