So I go into my control panel and then to system. On the General screen, under Registered to, where normally is my name it says:
"Not You, no longer"
... I don't know what's going on anymore and I miss the days of Oregon Trail and Math Blaster :(

Yes, times were much simpler back then, wasting away hours tossing stones at bats in Dark Castle on the Mac.....
Looks like somebody got into your registry remotely. Try scanning your computer with spybot or something to see if there's any backdoor trojans installed, then get a firewall. I suggest either @guard (unsupported, company bought out by norton like 50 years ago in internet years or something) or Sygate Personal Firewall (I use this now, and it's damn damn damn awesome.)
Fuckers.
Thank ya.
If I have a router, am I behind a firewall already, or do I need to d/l software? And does a firewall restrict stuff like playing online (battle.net and such).
a router works as a low-security firewall, but you'd probably be better off with an actual firewall as well..Quote:

That's so fucking stupid. Why the hell did some douche have to take a break from eating Twinkies and cutting himself to fuck with my shit?
Thanks for the link, though. I'll take care of it this afternoon. Must have gotten it through the mail since I don't use any of the programs mentioned.
Arg.
Bummer.
Are you sure you opened a zip file from an e-mail, dude? You aren't really a noob like my brother who has no idea that's a bad idea.
