This game is hot. Definite buy for me.
And I aggree, Ruby/Sapphire was a big step down from Gold and Silver. No internal clock? No moving characters from Crystal? Why?
Just for the record...
Best Pokemon ever: Psyduck.
I mean, really. It doesn't get much better than that.
Not that I play pokemon or anything. That was so 8th grade omfg.

I think the original 150 pokemon had, by far, the most personality out of all the designs that have come after.
IMO, Squirtle basically rules all.
And you think FFTA is more strategic?Quote:

maybe when battling other humans, but the games themselves are horribly easy. i would kill for a massively multiplayer pokemon game.Quote:

If it was any company but Nintendo peddling this, I would say there's a hope of it happening. But there's not.
Of course, Im sure there's plenty of Nintendo supporters who are gonna come into this thread and call this Nintendo bashing and say Nintendo is following the right strategy because MMOs and SRPGs dont make any money and they shouldnt just cater to a niche audience when tons of people are buying these games as is.
Pokemon definitely needs to evolve and step up instead of being overly simplified... I'll let red/blue slide because of system limitations, and gold/silver is an amazing sequel, but damn Nintendo, ruby/sapphire is like a half-assed step forward and ten steps back.
I guess that's just Nintendo being Nintendo nowadays =/
I thought that this would be a reply.....Quote:

.....meh.
I still have my monacle and tophat though. :)
Hah, getting into stall wars and prediction wars and switch wars is insane. I've had battles where they laste very long from stalling and switching.
I guess you have rto really play the game to know how hard it is.
12.78 million people bought Ruby/Sapphire actually. It's the best selling game this generation (outselling even the mighty GTA3 and Vice City). The main Pokemon series (Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, Fire Red & Leaf Green) has sold a staggering 91 million units to date. It beats out both Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy as the best selling RPG series of all time. In fact, it beats them combined.Quote:
