Mario and Luigi Saga....save game erased!

what the fuck? my wife was playing M&L superstar saga on the GBA, she was 36 hours into the game, and when she came to continue her saved game, her saved file was completely gone! :(

i know this might sound silly, but is there a way to recover her save file? my save file is still there(finished at 31hours) but she doesnt want to play my game since she's a little behind on the storyline. I mean she could still play my game, which is saved at the last boss, and see the ending, but at this point she is so mad that her save has dissapeared! :(

i've never heard of a way to recover gba savegames. if you had a flash card writer, you could try backing up the save file and trying it with a rom (just in case it's the game that's defective, not the save,) but i'm 99.99999999999% sure it won't help. sorry dude.

edit: by the way, even though you can have a few different games saved on the same cartridge, it's still only one savefile.

Where did you get the game? I have heard that if you get a bootleg game, sometimes the save files get corrupted. I hope you didn't get it from eBay!

no, i always buy originals. i got mine from www.ebgames.com

i'm sure all underwear is washed per ebay's standards and sealed in a plastic bag for "freshness" ;)

Heh that reminds me when I loading up Shining in the Darkness again, I saw the game I actually played a good while at lvl 21 and tried to select it, but when I said to continue it the guy said "Oh dear it appears I have lost this record" and the game was gone :wtf:

It sucks but losing a game save happens to every Gamer.

This actually happened to me on M&L, too. Something like 28 hours, at Joke's End, and then I go to continue and it's all "Start New Game", and I'm all, "No way, bitch, I'm almost at the end, so I think I'll continue... hey, where the fuck is my saved game?!" and then it's all like "I deleted it, cum dumpster, so maybe you could Start New Game? Or perhaps you'd like to... Start New Game?"

After I cooled down with some other stuff for about a week,I didn't really mind playing through it again since M&L is so great, but if that happened with most other games there'd be a GBA SP embedded into my wall.

bah. she's better off. m&l was pretty boring. now, legend of the seven stars, that was the cat's pajamas. whatever happened to the gba version?
