My same exact opinion here. Just wait for Star Ocean 3.Quote:

I played through a huge part of SO2 when it was relased and I loved it. I haven't touched it since then because I didn't have a copy for a long time and I forgot what was going on, and the thought of repeating the 40+ hours wasn't too appealing. Been meaning to get back at it one day.Quote:

I say skip BoF3 and play BoF4, the latter has some awesome characters in it.
SaGa Frontier is a good FAQ game and if you take the time to experiment and learn the combos the battle system can be very awesome. The main problem a lot of people have with it is that the story progresses like most other RPGs (going specific places to trigger events) but unlike most RPGs Frontier gives you absolutely no clue where that next trigger might be, which can lead to a lot of random useless wandering (hence it being a good FAQ game). There's tons of hidden stuff and the seperate characters who criss-cross stories is pretty cool, although I never got to finish it thanks to a memory card dying.
I loved SO2. I've only played through half the game though, and my old save file was erased, so I need to play through that slow first half again (not something I look forward to).
So does the game ever pick up? The slow plot and voice acting killed it for me, and I so badly wanted to crack open the game, but it just moved so damn slow.Quote:

I loved the Battle System in SO3, though I played the japanese version so I didn't understand the plot at all. But it's definately fast paced battle Real time goodness. The Battle Collections thing is wierd, you have objectives to beat ranging from not taking damage from a certain boss to beating the last boss below level 10. (Yes, that is one of the data things).
Can't wait until August...Quote:

My sentiments exactly.Quote:

Heheheh, that was so awesome.
The 80 endings is a gimmick right? Don't they just vary
slightly or is there one ultimate ending?
