Thanks to the XBOX and PC, yes.
yea, i suppose satisfied is the word. :p
Yes
Overall I'm satisfied with this generation -- I have definitally bought more games this gen than any other (Although that could be because I have a real job and am no longer in high school), but I am sad to see some of my favorite developers pump out games below their past standards (Nintendo? Konami? Capcom? Sega? I'm looking at all of you), but am thrilled to see new/unproven-to-me developers (Ubi Soft, Microsoft family, Sucker Punch... off the top of my head) come out of no were and really prove they can do a great job even when the other guys slip.
If it's just GC, PS2, and XBox, I'd say that it's been great, but nothing has blown me away this gen to the degree that some of the Dreamcast titles did.
Yep.
Yes.
Reason:
PS2 gives me some really good RPGs/tactical RPGs/weird games, Xbox gives me some nice racing games, sport games and better resolution + sound. No reason to complain until I get a GCN (just joking!)
A definite yes!
This generation has finally made 3-D gaming a reality. Though PSX, N64 and to some extents Saturn did a respectable job of 3-D for the time, this generation has enough horsepower to make the environments feel lifelike.
Handheld gaming is finally reaching a level, where it can be just as enjoyable as it's big brother consoles.
Online console gaming is becoming a reality and the amount of quality games we've recieved so far is hard to keep up with. In the past, I could keep up with all the great titles being released. This generation, it's really hard to choose, because there is almost too many games that I want to play, but would hardly have the time to do so.
Just the PC. Everything else has sucked.
I like it. Xbox is definitely the winner here for me. Xbox Live is tons of fun and a worthy investment. I liked shit on other platforms too; games that come to mind are Far Cry, Disgaea, and Metroid Prime. Those games alone make this generation worthy.
