OK, it’s happening - at 6:07AM, the ILB site updated to “Transmitting"… but the important part is the links.html page - the coordinates have been grouped and each group has a codeword. Apparently each group has to have two successful contacts to GO HOT. Once that happens, the codeword turns into a link.
If you are going to a site, print out http://melangerie.com/bees/ either the html or the xls and take it with you - the codeword is included for each location.
At this time, a phone will ring and a recording will ask you for “her name, and your name” - the answer is “OPERATOR” and the location’s code name.

I just got back from a Utah location, the 9:20 PDT time. It was in front of a Smith's grocery store (or so we thought.) I found about 8 other ilovebees followers there, gathered around the payphone in front of the store....
Then the phone rang at the SUBWAY restaurant across the street. The first guy to answer the phone...fucked it up and didn't get the password across, so we missed the Axon.
There is one coming up at 12:32 PDT that is right down the street from my apartment, so I'll try to answer that one correctly, and see what this is all about!

Well so far we have the story of a guy out on a date with a girl who's brother or friend is an immigrations officer, the story of a teenage kid who finds "Durga" and plays around with it for a while, and the story of a young girl taken into police custody for some stupid stunt she did. It sucks that they've already missed four of them.
Sl1p did one right in California, but he can't post about it right now.

hehe, you guys are all exicted for something thats going to be really dumb.
One of my friends at work hangs out with a guy who's going crazy over the whole ILB thing and at least one of the payphones was at the college they attend. What brought me joy was that my friend would refer to the coordinates and setup as though it dealt with terrorists and possible bomb attacks, making sure his voice was loud and clear when walking around in public discussing it. I think we freaked some people out.
I went to the first Phoenix location earlier today (11:05), and camped by a payphone located by a Chevron station. 11:05 rolls around, and nothing happens. I then notice about 10 guys hovering in front of a Basha's Grocery Store across the street. I then drive over there only to find out that nothing has happened at that phone, either, and these guys are just waiting around for the sky to fall or something.
There were about 3 other payphones in that area, and we just hit the wrong ones. :\
Looks like SOMEBODY got to it, as the "nervous" link is active (no .wav file, though), so maybe they don't ring if they've already been activated?
I dunno...I wasn't expecting much, but I was hoping for something a bit more.

I'm assuming next week will be 7 axons, but who knows. People sure are going for them though. Several have hit 3 already, and one hit 4. 62 days to go until Halo 2. I've been kind of blind that Dana mentioned the Covenant on her blog, so that's a true Halo (or Alias) tie-in.
I posted in the Official H2 thread that I think this whole things is a way to introduce the Covie invasion of Earth. Introduce some characters, try and get the "audience" interested in them and then kill most of them off. :)
We now know that a ship called the Apocalypso crashed out of Slipstream space near Luna, and that it might not have been alone. Current speculation on the Wiki is that the Apocalypso is the Operator's ship that crashed.

Now, I doubt that his sister was taken for the program. Assuming this ARG is taking place shortly before the Covie invasion of Earth, the Spartan II program would have been under way for quite some time when Kamal's sister died. Now, several admirals and certain parts of ONI were very interested in the foundations of the Spartan program (find excellent specimens, and train them from a young age and enhance their abilities). Surely some other group chose to do their own take on the Spartan program after it's early successes. Just a thought.
yeah i agree. it sounds quite alot like the spartan II program. but if i remeber correctly, its been a while since i read FoR, but i think they were talkin about having another go at the program.
