Well, that gives me some hope, anyway.

And yea, I can't ait for that demo to release. I really wanna see if I can run it in my current configuration, even with medium quality and 800-600 or lower resolutions (I will run games at lower res if the game runs smoother, especially if I can maintain higher quality graphics).

I'll have to see how much I can start saving up for a new system.

Can't believe how close it is too.

It really sucks being pumped about this right after you just blew most of your cash on items that will make your computer decent.

I've decided I'm not going to play it until I have a PC that runs it at MAX detail at a great framerate. I can't spoil this experience, and since I know it'll age well, I can wait.

My current system is an HP Pavilion with a 2 GHZ Celeron processor. I beleive the FSB is 333.

I upgraded the RAM from 256MB to 756MB and added a Geforce FX 5200 with 256MB onboard RAM. Games like Halo, SWG and KOTOR look pretty good, but once in a while I'll get a little slowdown for no reason at all.

My processor is the weakest link in this system. I'm sure the mother board does'nt help matters either.

that 5200 is pretty weak as well btw and will in no way ever utilize the 256ram it touts. much like a 9600, its waaaaay to slow to effectively use the extra ram.

It's the best I can do with an HP computer though. So, yeah as I stated. This computer will in no way run Doom 3. :(

The GeForceFX 5200 is more powerful than a GeForce3, and more powerful than a GeForce4 Ti for that matter.

Doom 3 would run fine on your computer. It's solidly above the minimum.

I would like to think it could, but having a Celeron processor is'nt going to help. Especially when it has 128k cache memory.
