It would be pretty cool if Sega released this as an online title - it's VF2 after all, they could probably get away with it since I don't recall there being any sort of gameplay structure that would be ruined by the appearance of lag. They probably won't, but a man can dream.
I think they'll be bringing some of them as bundles, similar to what they did with the first Sega Ages series on the Saturn; Japan had a bunch of them sold individually, and we had one compilation (UK got two I think).Quote:

Speaking of value, I'd like Sega to start adding bonus stuff to the series, like cool Sega stuff, or just stuff related to the game. In the Capcom collection, you could get information about the game, check out some art, etc. Basically having these "collection" games structured like good dvds. I mean, since the games are usually really small, why not load the disc with extras ?
Too bad the series was created for the sole purpose of being a cash cow.
i remember reading back before the game came out that they wanted to do fully 3D backgrounds, but Sega was rushing them to get it out, because they wanted to have a AAA title for the Saturn to get more people to buy it. AM2 was bummed they couldn't get the backgrounds right, but they knew it was the gameplay that mattered.Quote:

You could throw people off the raft in Saturn VF2, it was just missing the bridge. Finally we'll have VF2 at home with arcade perfect backgrounds. Hopefully the gameplay will be more faithful to the arcade version than the Saturn version was.
The first few releases in Sega's series were remakes of 8 and 16-bit titles. They are now porting 32-bit arcade games. I think the need to remake lessens the closer we get to the present.Quote:

I believe they are remaking Virtua Racing though. So it's hit-or-miss, maybe.
And I'd love a Daytona 2 remake/port if it has good control. I never used the DC wheel for it, but with the analog stick, it felt awful.
