Is it really printed on manuscript-like paper, or is that just a pattern to make it 'look' that way?
That is awsome.
Pretty sure it just looks that way. That's really the only reason I'd want the AES release of the game, as the MVS doesnt have a special "goodbye" to the fans.
That's beautiful, man.
That's pretty classy, and it'd be great to see Capcom do something like that for their releases.
Why? Capcom has never offered their fans 350 dollar arcade perfect home releases for the most hardcore of their fans.Quote:

I like Capcom.. but I think when it comes to their fans they just aren't as good as SNK.
For those that don't know and are curious, that Japanese character is read as "kan", and has a meaning of "completion, end".
Warzard... never released in the US.... :cry:Quote:

Its nice that SNK closed this chapter of their life this way, it closes the door with out leaving the fans wondering if its really the end.
More power to SNK, and I hope they don't have to print any notices like that again for a long, long time.
That was really good of SNK to do that. I still remember when they closed doors and offered that really cool wallpaper to their fans. I agree though, hopefully they won't have to deal this kind of fanservice again anytime soon.
Capcom tried to have something similar. It was the Capcom Power System, and it flopped big time. It basically looked like a CPS-2 motherboard but had the ability to be hooked to a TV. It had very few games made for it.Quote:

Within a year or 2, anyone will be able to pick up the MVS cart for like $35 if they really want to.
Never saw Sega thank it's fans in the USA after they yanked the DC from us. Or the Saturn for than matter.
Never saw Nintendo thank anyone for buying a Virtual Boy.
Never saw Atari thank anyone for buying a Jaguar.
For SNK to publicly thank it's fans, and do so in a manner that serves the collector fanbase, is top notch in my book.
"To all of our fans who have purchased NEOGEO ROM cartridges up until now, thank you very much. We couldn't of supported our coke habits and taste for underaged Thai whores had it not been for your willingness to spend thousands of dollars on shitty games."
Ah there's a good old fashion, pointless and self-degrading flame. Good job Johnny.
And Shidoshi, it's violence, who cares. $300 is still $300.
I'm going to have to agree with Yoshi here. There's plenty of SNK hate elsewhere on the board (and with good reason, but I won't go into it here) that people can participate in if they feel the need.Quote:

it's true. saw a thread about it on gaming age. officially, they're recalling them on the because of a few gameplay bugs, but word on "the street" is that the fatalities will be put back in as well.
Good. Now everyone can stfu.
Thief~Silver, I actually enjoy SNK's games, just having a little fun. You have to admit that the prices some rare yet shitty games go for is outrageous.
Haha alright Johnny. Yeah some of the prices are high, but I don't own any of em. I love SNK but I don't buy too much. Everquest and new RPGs every know and then keep me occupied.
I came in this thread expecting naked Mai covered in Yogurt. I have been let down.
Then what is this?Quote:

Weird. It's huge.
ah, nevermind - it didn't have the usual ignored post marker. I was looking at the second post, not the first (must have changed with the board update, or in my preferences)
Will this do?Quote:

Red Earth was the US name. Warzard was the JP name. It is a stupid name.
As to where it actually came out here, I have no idea.
"Fan Service, SNK Style"
Misleading thread title. I expected breasts, dammit.

Yea, I never saw Nintendo thank anyone for buying a Virtual Boy, but Virtual Boy wasnt a $500 system with $200 games.
Dont get me wrong, its a nice gesture, but its not exactly an outpouring of warmth and generosity.
Well, with the abundance of Warzard characters in the upcoming Capcom Fighting Jam...if the game is popular enough, maybe we'll get a PS2 port or something. SF3 is coming out this month.Quote:
