The president of America or the president of Canada?
Bush may know how to do a job, but I do not believe he has a high I.Q.
No.
He does not have a good sense of self preservation.
He does not have control of his temper (read the reports on drudge about him yelling at white house interns)
He does not have a single presidential quality about him (people thought Howard Dean didn't either, but hey, if Bush is already president, Dean should get his shot as well)
He is a slave to theology, which is fantastic if your the pope, but not so good when you lead the country
And finally, its not that he isn't intelligent. You don't go to Harvard-Yale, and not get something rubbed off on you, even if you are mildly retarded. Its just what is easily mistaken for a lack of intelligence, which is, a lack of common sense which is also fueled by the fact that he has not a single notion as to how people like you and I live and what life is like for us.
I think people equate good public speaking with intelligence, and equate intelligence with good president. Of course, this is nonsense. Im not trying to say that, say, Bill Clinton was not intelligent (he clearly was), but just because he was a good speaker in public does not mean he had the capability to be a good president (and in my opinion, he wasnt).
Likewise, Ive read articles from newspapers in Europe during the Civil War that said basically the same thing you would read in an article from newspapers in Europe now: that Abe Lincoln was a terrible public speaker, horribly stupid, stiff, unintelligent, and wholly incapable of the job at hand. And we all know that is nonsense.
If being the President required super-intelligence, that would be in the Constitution.
So, that said, I dont like to make any judgement calls on people's intelligence. I really dont. It's elitist and counterproductive. You talk to IronPlant on #TNL and its hard to think he's anything but mentally retarded, but I still know he's not.
I always laugh at how the far-left loves to (A) make fun of George W. for being a total moron, and (B) accuse him of ltricking the entire US Government/Congress into going to war (including Kerry), not to mention Britain, Australia, etc. So something's gotta give. So is Bush intelligent? In some ways, yes.But thats just my opinion.
Besides, even if you think he's stupid, he's done a lot with a little. Owned a baseball team, degrees from Harvard and Yale, President, governor, etc. I mean, yea, he comes from pedigree, but so does Paris Hilton. Think about it.

And no, no, I am talking about the far left. Democractic Underground types.Quote:

That's nonsense. Just the fact that Republicans support the war in Iraq, which has given freedom and democracy to the country, is a progressive idea. Shit, just yesterday I read this. Tell me that's far-right thinking at work. Please.Quote:

I'm sure this "National Sales Tax" wont apply to billionaires somehow. Bush has abused presidential buddy rights more than any leader of any democracy anywhere, ever.Quote:

Let's just dig that hole a little deeper.
That's quite a statement to make without any proof or sources.Quote:
