No. It's something like 30/30/40. That 30 in the middle is what really decided national elections, because neither side has enough to win on its own.Quote:

I think it's fairly obvious that dave was referring to a broader social and political spectrum, not just American politics. American Democrats would probably be considered to the right of center on a political scale that attempts to encompass all political beliefs. But certainly Democrats would be considered on the left if we're talking only American politics, since popular American politics are much narrower in scope (there aren't many anarchists, socialists, or authoritarians that get much publicity in the U.S.). The Democrats have to be the left, since the opposition of the Republicans and Democrats defines the left and right for American politics.Quote:

And for Socialism, well the democratic party in the US is already very socialist. Ofcorse the Republican party is catching up with its gay Homeland security ideas.
You're a fucking moron.Quote:

And I don't really understand how IronPlant is retarded for saying the Democratic party is very socialist. "Very" is a subjective term, and perhaps you take issue simply with that word. But the Democratic party definitely has policies with socialist or communist roots. They're not Soviet revolutionaries, but it is fairly clear that the Democratic party has taken some cues from Marx.
I never said he was retarded, I said he was a fucking moron. The Democrats have reasonably weak ties with the trade unions, they generally support the opening up of the economy with things such as Free Trade agreements, and relatively balanced budget spending.Quote:

The United States needs to be totalitarian so all you faggots go to jail.
Seriously speaking, I don't think Bush is as smart as a lot of our former Presidents but neither was Lincoln and he ended up being a very good President that probably would've solved a lot of post-Civil War problems had he not been assassinated. Al Gore had education coming out of his ass and he has the most lame and flat personality I've ever seen. Education and intelligence isn't everything, some of the best damn and helpful people at recruit training (and I speak of recruit training because USMC training really brings out the true capabilities of people) were guys that seemed to be a little slower then other recruits.
