Amiga
Anybody ever get a chance to play games on a Amiga computer?
My friend used to have one and we played countless hours on it even that Sword Of Sodan and lots of shooters which I can't remember the names of.
What were your Favorite Amiga games?

I'm a big Amiga fan. I consider it the best machine I've never owned. I did get to play it at a friend's house and I have played many ports and emulated versions of Amiga games.
IK+ is an excellent fighting game. I have the C64 one but the Amiga one is even better.
Out of this World is an old favorite of mine.
Turrican kicks ass.
Speedball is great.
Lemmings is a puzzle classic.
Shadow of the Beast is a good action/adventure series.
The Xenon games were pretty cool shooters.
Walker is a great action game.

Like you, I had a friend who had quite a library of games on his Amiga and we used to play for countless hours... (such memories, and so long ago... I feel so old now...)
While I don't remember the most of game's titles, a few stuck to my mind like Shadow of the Beast, Sword of Sodan, Chaos Engine, etc.
Funny how most of those were later ported to Genesis, but they were still much better on Amiga years before.
Amiga definitely could display some awesome gfx & sound for the time.

I'm also a huge fan of the Amiga. I had an Amiga 500 for years, and the games it had back then were light years ahead of most everything else (that is, until the 16-bit systems hit their stride around 1992 or so).
All the games NeoZeedeater mentioned were great. I also enjoyed Starglider I and II (though I think the former might have come out only on the Atari ST), Dungeon Master, Eye of the Beholder, R-Type, Blood Money, Menace, Obliterator, Arcticfox, Terrorpods, Zoom!, Technocop (sue me, it was fun), the Cinemaware games (Rocket Ranger, Three Stooges, Defender of the Crown, etc.), and many, many others.
Out of This World was so amazingly good it demands a second mention. Everything that ICO is, OttW was over ten years ago.

Technocop was very fun if were thinking of the same one that was ported to the Genesis I actually had the Commodore 64 one very violent and ahead of it's time given the gore factor.
I also remember this platfomer where your in space and you shoot enemies it had amazing music and also appeared on the Commodeore 64.
gamefaqs has Castlevania by Konami in their database I don't remember that coming out.

I was just recently looking at Castlevania Amiga pics. Here's the link:

Thanks for the link. Wow those shots look nice too bad
I never got a chance to play it.
Do you guys know how much an Amiga setup goes for these days?
I always see Amiga games at my Goodwill if I ever see an Amiga system I'll be sure to pick it up.

I'm interested in eventually buying an Amiga as well. And maybe an Atari ST, too.
What I'm wondering is did most of these games see release in North America? I played a ton of games at a friend's house but he came from England so I can't tell which games were domestic or not.

Yond Lay, Yond Lay... oops, wrong amiga :D
I've never owned one personally, but a few friends had them (and alot of bootleg games ). To be honest I can't remember anything about them, but I know I played one along time ago.

I just noticed in those pics that Castlevania was made by Novotrade(Appaloosa), the same developer Konami later trusted with Contra. Interesting.

Well Amiga had alot of European developers not sure what were domestic releases or not but regaurdless I still see tons of Euro games in the states.
