I think I have a hernia

I went to the doctor today complaining about lower abdominal pain. He thought it might be a hernia and asked me if I noticed any foreign body parts in my "sack". I told him that I really never bothered to notice the details down there. So we scheduled a two-week follow up.

Well, today when I was taking a shower my mind was on the subject so I decided to investigate. Yup. There's three things in there. The worse part about it is now I am hoping for a hernia because at least if the third thing is an intestine I know it's nice and harmless....

That needs checked out asap. I don't mean to scare but what if it's testicular cancer?

Speaking of getting whacked there with a bat... I wonder if it would hurt 50% more than usual with an extra organ in there?

That's why I said I was hoping for a hernia....

The pain is up much higher though in my abdomain, so I don't think it's cancer. Anyway, yeah, the doctor's getting a call tomorrow.

The funny thing is that our keyboard player just had surgery for the exact same freakin' thing two weeks ago.

Testicular cancer would be a lump in one of your nuts, or an enlarged nut; not a third nut.

I friend of my extended family had testicular cancer, but he first noticed it as a third odd object in his scrotum. Obviously it wasn't a third thing, but to him it felt like it was.

I know, but I'm just saying it's more likely to be a hernia or a cyst rather then testicular cancer, because that's almost always an enlargement of the testis. It's possible, but in these situations it's best not to over react and start thinking worst case scenario.


Hold the lump and cough, if you can feel the jolt from the cough it's a hernia.

I have one. It causes me discomfort, but not severe pain. When I have gas, I can feel it rumble in my groin before I fart. Pretty awesome, huh?
