I know a lot of people must have the Super Game Boy but people almost never talk about it.
I haven't used mine in years but I used to use it quite a bit.

I remember getting mine when it first came out because I was so excited to play GB games on tv.
I haven't pulled mine out for years either, probably due to the fact that I havent played a GB game in forever.
Now if we could just get "Super Game Boy Advance" I'd be set!
I have one but I never use it anymore. The last time I did was for Galaga back when those Namco arcade classic 2 pack GBC games came out. I didn't have a GBC and I wanted to play it with color so, I did.
where there different super gameboys cause mine doesnt work with GBC games i tried to play Legend of Zelda Orage of Ages on it but it was a no go
Im pretty sure you can play GBC games with a Super Gameboy 2. But, there was probably a monochrome mode with those games, and it didnt play in full color.
i bought my super gameboy when it first came out. i still have it. i thought it was one of the coolest devices ever. however, the last time i played it was several years ago when i beat metroid 2 and link's awakening.
seeing as how i don't play gameboy games that much anymore, and that most new gameboy color games won't work with it, i won't be using the super gameboy anytime soon.
damn, nintendo should release that super gameboy advance thing they have that works with the n64. i'd be all over that in a second.
The Super Game Boy 2 was Asia-only, no?
Nice little device SGB was, but it was pretty lame how it let you edit only four colors. This limited color creating since you had to make sure the sprites were visible enough and the scheme wasn't taxing on the eyes.
Im pretty sure it was.Quote:

Actually, it looks like it was released in the US, albeit in a very limited fashion.
I also don't think it supports Game Boy Color software. I remember that now. :(
Never got a Super Game Boy, I wasn't much of a Game Boy guy. But now I'm interesting in getting one and a copy of Donkey Kong '94.
SGB or not, DK94 kicks ass. Anyway, I play some Mario Land or Kirby on my SGB every once in a while. It beats playing them on a handheld at home.Quote:
