I like stories in RPGs but i fucking hate playing them, I'd rather watch a friend do it.

Off the top of my head, the last boss in the Evolution games do that. More you level up the harder he gets.Quote:

You are a little obsessed with FF8.
Are you kidding? Go read a book or watch a movie. Very few if any RPGs* compare to even the worst hackneyed trash fantasy novel.Quote:

They're such wimps because instead of destroying while they have the chance at the beginning they always allow you to escape, and then send wave of wave of incompetant hencemen at you to hone your skills with, and then when the waves are depleted you attack and kill him.
The Breath of Fire series have had notoriously difficult bosses, at least where 1-3 are concerned. I never beat the next two, but Dragon Quarter is friggin' hard all-around, so I wouldn't be surprised.
Also, the boss of Xenogears can be a total whore if you're unprepared on the gears end of things. Healing is such a slut when in gears, and if you don't get rid of his healing move and his heavenly anointment, he's nigh impossible.
Best rpg bosses as far as my experiece goes is from FF8 and Grandia. FF8 you have to use lion heart and Grandia it was hard but not tooo hard. I beat him on my secound try. My friend had to use codes but I just went through it like nothing. Also Xenogears can sometimes suck balls if you dont level up. I cant remember if FF2 boss was hard.
FF8's was lemon pie. Honestly, Lionheart was not even close to necessary. All you needed to do was have the right spells junctioned x 100 on the right stats and you were nigh unbeatable. Not to mention Aura/Meltdown were some of the cheapest spells in existence.Quote:

Both Persona games had insanely mean bosses, as did Nocturne.
