Late Night Talk Shows

I've been watching Conan for years, way before Andy left, in fact the guy got me into talk shows. So theres no question who the best is.

Leno I'll watch but mainly only because he comes on before Conan. Headlines is about all the guy has.

I hate Letterman. The guy just isn't funny.

Stewart is the man, second only to Conan.

Carson...all I can say is that I'm actually impressed he still has the show. As far as interviews go he's not that bad. He just doesn't offer anything else to the show. He doesn't have a personality. Anyone else could replace him and you'd never notice. Doesn't bring a single thing to the show.

He's on late, and probably draws so I guess they don't care.

I think Beth Lilford is now on Method and Redman on fox.

The greatest interview ever was when Britney Spears was on Conan when Andy was still on. She was just getting huge and they were talking about how fans would show up at her house and her mom would let people into the house. So Conan goes "Really? That's pretty weird don't you think? I mean letting a bunch of strange fans into your house?" and then Andy bust out, "Hey thanks for coming! Next time, bring a weapon!"

I fucking died laughing. The interview came to a screeching hault as Spears this horrified look on her face. She looked Andy like he said he wanted her to get hit by a bus or something. So Conan jumps in and does his best to get the interview back on track. Andy was quite for the rest of the interview but whenever they showed him he was trying to hold back his laughter.

gah, noone watches Mcenroe or the Carson Daly show? for shame.
i think Mcenroe wins as the worst of the bunch. worse than Magic Johnson.
and Keenan's skits were good so no making fun of him.

Yeah, Conan is great, but it was on a whole 'nother astral plane when Andy was on it. At least Andy turned out one great short-lived series afterwards (though his most recent one was almost horrible enough to cancel out the good karma of the first), most people that leave anything they were successful on for "bigger things" usually just disappear completely.

Goddamn they need to do a DVD with all of Andy Richter Controls the Universe.

This is the way I see the Leno/Letterman thing: Letterman is a funnier person, but Leno's show has funnier moments.

That said, I prefer to watch Conan, Kimmel and Stewart.

Kilborne is a douche.

okay so i havent seen Carson in a long time, i assumed it was still on. BUT Mcenroe is priceless.

Yes. Turn it to channel 17 and not 20 (the new VR). If you leave it there you get some bizarre bike rescue show.

I dont like Colin Quinn at all. He just cant deliver a joke. He's lame. But anyway...

I really like Conan O Brien, and have been watching the show since, season 3 probably. Like... a very long time. When they still had that set with the fan in the background (featured on The Simpsons when Bart went on the show).

With Andy on, they had the best skits of all... the staring contests, the miniseries (that was like a TV show... only a few episodes but brilliant), talking about how fucked up Joel is, etc. It also had a greater emphasis on the characters, like Masturbating Bear and so forth.

The show now is still, really, just about as good. Actual Items, If They Made It, Celebrity Surveys, the "chemistry" he has with Max, the Walker Texas Ranger Lever, Pierre's Recliner of Rage... the show is still pretty amazing. I miss some of the old stuff they did but they replaced it with equally good things. I think Conan sometimes idle chatters too much, and I dont care for Frankenstein Wastes A Minute Of Our Time... but still the show is brilliant.
